In business, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind, and I’m as guilty as anyone of not taking the time to stop and smell the roses. Last night, I had an opportunity to check out the Nashville Film Festival VIP Party with our staff. As a Gold Sponsor, we went not only to see our logo everywhere, pass out our super cool orange YummyWebGoodness.com sharpies, and check out our new :30 spot, but also to just take a night off from talking shop and enjoy each other’s company.
We’re extremely proud of the website we did for the Nashville Film Festival, but our sense of pride with the product we built is overshadowed by our thankfulness for our opportunity to form good relationships with the people that run the film festival.
It was extremely rewarding to see everything come together on opening night. Hearing about how things are going in people’s lives, and the ideas they have outside of work is a great way to build chemistry for your team.
Any organization that values people over all else, is taking the first key step towards being successful. At Cabedge and Atiba, our people are our biggest asset and I’m just thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a positive group of talented people.
As for the film festival, I’ve lived in Middle Tennessee since 2007 and have always loved it, but last night I’ve never felt more proud to be a part of the Nashville community.
Getting out from behind my desk and spending some time on the red carpet was an awesome experience, so thank you again to those who came out from Atiba and Cabedge, and thanks again to our friends at the Nashville Film Festival for such a fun night!
I know we’re all looking forward to a great weekend of movies.
